Features

Smooth from import to watching

Features below describe the Apple beta unless noted. Android and Windows have their own release scope; check the download pages before choosing a build.

Check every channel at once

Doubo tests your whole playlist in parallel and lines up the channels that are ready to play, so you can just press play.

Switch lines in one tap

When a channel has several sources, switch between them under Lines and pick the smoothest one anytime.

Import any M3U playlist

Add a URL or a local .m3u / .m3u8 file. Channel names, groups, and logos are parsed automatically, and your last 20 playlists are remembered and restored at launch.

Groups, search, and favorites

Browse by group-title, search channel names and groups instantly, star the channels you watch, and jump back through recently played.

A native playback experience

Built on AVKit, with Picture in Picture, subtitle tracks, playback speed, and landscape full screen. The playing channel's row shows a live frame.

Cast to your TV

Cast to DLNA smart TVs on the same network, or open a local video file to play it directly.

Universal TV remote

Control your TV from Doubo. A built-in universal remote finds Roku, Samsung, LG and DLNA TVs on your network and sends power, volume, channel up/down, a number pad, a direction pad with OK, and text search.

Catch-up and replay

On channels whose source provides catch-up, go back in time and watch programmes that already aired.

Pick your stream quality

On multi-bitrate HLS channels, choose Auto, High, Medium or Low to match your connection and save data.

Dual audio

Watch one feed's picture with another's sound — pick the video from one source and the audio from another, with manual sync.

Xtream Codes login

Sign in to an Xtream Codes account to load its live channels. Your password is stored only in the device Keychain.

Privacy first

Playlist data stays on the device. Windows offers optional usage statistics with consent. See the privacy policy for each platform.

Support

Does Doubo provide TV channels?

No. Doubo is a player; it doesn't bundle or sell channel content. Add playlists you're authorized to use. Recommended lists in the app are third-party public links, and their availability and viewing rights are set by their providers.

How do I get started?

Tap Add, paste an M3U / M3U8 playlist URL you’re authorized to use, or import a .m3u / .m3u8 file from Files. Channels are grouped automatically. See the Guide page for step-by-step instructions.

Which formats are supported?

Import your own authorized M3U/M3U8 link or file. Xtream Codes login is available in the Apple beta and Android apps; on Windows use your provider’s M3U link. The web player has separate format and browser restrictions.

Do you collect my data?

Playlists, favorites and history stay on your device. Windows offers optional usage statistics with consent. This website uses Google Analytics to understand visits; see the privacy policy for platform details.

What do I need to cast to a TV?

Use a DLNA-compatible TV on the same local network as the Apple app. Discovery and casting depend on the Apple build, network permissions and TV compatibility. The current Android release does not include this feature.

Is there an Android version?

Yes. Download the signed APK for Android phones and tablets from the Android download page. Google Play is available. Android TV and feature parity with the Apple app are still in development.

Does it work on Apple TV?

Doubo does not currently offer an Apple TV app or CarPlay playback. Its Apple beta has DLNA casting and TV remote features with platform restrictions; the current Android APK does not include them.

Can Doubo control my TV like a remote?

The TV remote is implemented in the Apple app. Discovery and available controls depend on the app build, local-network permissions, TV model and pairing. It is not included in the current Android release.

Does Doubo support catch-up or replay?

iPhone, iPad and Mac. Yes, on channels whose playlist source provides catch-up parameters. You can go back and watch programmes that already aired.

Can I choose the stream quality?

iPhone, iPad and Mac. Yes. On multi-bitrate HLS channels you can pick Auto, High, Medium or Low to match your connection.

Can I sign in with an Xtream Codes account?

Import your own authorized M3U/M3U8 link or file. Xtream Codes login is available in the Apple beta and Android apps; on Windows use your provider’s M3U link. The web player has separate format and browser restrictions.

What happens if a playlist can't be refreshed?

iPhone, iPad and Mac. Doubo shows the channels it cached from the last successful load and tells you the network reason, instead of leaving a blank screen.
